Most businesses are SHOUTING but all their market hears is noise.
Most boutiques are just trying to pass their products to their customers without thinking about how their products can solve their customer's problems.
Remember, in order to take over the market you need to be the VEHICLE that helps your customers get from their current situation to their desired situation.
You see, most people are treating their products like a raw material... Their greatest differentiator in the market is price. They are constantly having to convince customers that this is the lowest price they're are going to get and the only way they make money is to discount their product.
Do you know why that is?
Because they're selling their product like a raw good, rather than a solution that gets their customers to a desired outcome.
When you sell a raw good (think like corn), you're competing with the rest of the market who is also trying to sell their corn.
When you instead start selling a solution that takes a customer to their desired outcome, like helping them feel beautiful or empowered... All of the sudden you're not competing on price. Sure you're still selling them clothes, or jewelry, or homewares, but now you've created a package that has a ton more value because you all know that your product alone won't help women feel empowered. With that requires encouragement, example (leadership), and community.
For most of you your offer is "I help women look beautiful and empowered," but is that the actual service you are delivering?
Once you start telling the market about your solution, rather than shouting at them about your product, you will take it over.
